Tablets For Health
Cumbria Deaf Association is working in partnership with SignHealth, Deaf Direct, Merseyside Society for Deaf People to deliver this pilot research project.
The aim of the project is to see whether a video relay service can improve access to health services for Deaf people and, if so, does it lead to any improvement to their health.

Place Based Services Programme
Cumbria Deaf Association is in a partnership of third sector delivery organisations across Cumbria, providing a range of practical help and advice services for adults of any age, but in particular for older people.
The Place Based Services (PBS) Programme (formerly Neighbourhood Care Independence Programme) is funded by Cumbria County Council and managed by Cumbria Community Foundation and is a previous winner of the National Charity Award (grant making and funding category).
In past years our role involved delivering Deaf Awareness training to our partners and funders, providing communication support and hosting healthy living and social events offering information and advice to the Deaf Community. More recently Cumbria Deaf Association has run a series of sessions for deaf people primarily concerned with health and well being topics.
