Well here we are halfway through the first month of 2023, and it feels good already. We have lots of news to share so the team have challenged me to write a piece for the website each week to keep you updated with what CDA is doing.

• Soon we will be launching our quarterly newsletter, that can be sent via email or posted out. Please sign up via the enquiry form on the contact us page or the subscribe box on the homepage
• Dates are regularly being added to our events page – lots of things going on for our deaf and hard of hearing groups. We also share activities that are happening in Cumbria that event organisers have arranged BSL interpreters to attend or subtitled events
• In Spring we will be opening our Carlisle hub, from where we will deliver deaf awareness training, introduction to BSL, hold social events and activities
• The big news is that later this year CDA turns 130 years old – yes, that means a year of celebrations and events to mark this special occasion
