CEO Chat #2

This week has brought us some magical news!
Towards the end of 2022 we were approached by a young magician who was keen to create magic that would work well for a deaf audience. It was part of a competition to win tickets to a magic convention in the USA.
Jack Moodie, the magician, impressed Barrow and Kendal deaf clubs with his talent. Read the full report on the Westmorland Gazette website.
We are in the process of planning for the next financial year, which is oddly enough one of my favourite times of the year.
One of our key priorities is to look at the condition of the buildings we own in Kendal and Barrow, then give them some much needed TLC.
Becky, our Business Administrator, has been building relationships with local trades and service companies. It is a time-consuming project but well worth it as we look to the future stability.
The work at Barrow is being part-funded by a legacy we received last year from a Barrovian lady, it was only right that we invest her gift to us in the place that mattered to her.
If you are considering leaving a gift in your will, please visit the donation page for more information on how you can help us.
