The aim of the Specialist Equipment Service is to provide a high quality community based equipment service to meet the needs of Cumbrian service users affected by deafness.

The service is delivered by experienced Technical officers, who will focus on:

• Needs led assessments
• Providing information and support on specialist equipment or minor adaptation needs
• Advice and support in relation to specialist equipment to aid communication with others
• Ensuring individuals are able to manage the use of equipment issued
