Carlisle Pop-up Shop a Big Success

For one week in October CDA hosted a pop-up shop in Carlisle, on Paternoster Row which is behind the cathedral near Tullie House. 

The empty shop was transformed into a bright and colourful space that welcomed people from the deaf and hearing community.  There was information about the services that CDA offer and those of other organisations; Electricity Northwest and BID Cumbria. 

People came in to share their experiences, find out information about the services we provide and to suggest what they would like to see for the future.  We were also interviewed by ITV Border and BBC Radio Cumbria. CDA will be back in March 2022 for another week, when we have activities for schools and everyone else to join in with.
