Medicash Funding Sign In Project

A number of Deaf people in Cumbria are often unable to access appropriate care and community support. Cumbria Deaf Association is working on a number of fronts to address this problem and can report some significant success.

Funding of over £4,000 from the Medicash Charitable Trust will go towards our Sign In project which will train and equip people with the necessary Deaf Awareness, Sign Language and Care & Social skills so that they can provide the support. Training will be offered to unemployed people and members of the deaf community.
