The Edge Project

Cumbria Deaf Association is part of a consortium of training providers that has been awarded a multi-million pound project designed to raise skill levels in the county and plug its skills’ gaps.
The Edge project will offer funded workforce training to Cumbria’s small and medium sized enterprises and will run until March 2018, paid for through the European Social Fund (ESF). It is believed to be the biggest ESF contract ever awarded in Cumbria. A similar project between 2013 and 2015 delivered training to over 3,000 individuals from 900 businesses across the county.
Cumbria Deaf Association’s role will be to deliver Deaf Awareness and Sign Language courses and these are likely to start early in 2017. Anyone interested in this project is invited to contact us for further information.
