Donations & Fundraising

We rely on your donations to fulfil our aim of supporting deaf people in Cumbria. You can choose to donate to a specific initiative or to the organisation as a whole. You can be assured that every penny you give will be used to provide services to our deaf and deafblind clients.

Ways That You Can Donate

Donate Online

You can make a donation online by visiting our JustGiving page. You can make a one-off donation or set up a regular donation.

Donate with JustGiving

Donate Directly

You can make a donation directly to CDA by bank transfer or sending payment to:

Cumbria Deaf Association
5 Castle Street
Kendal
LA9 7AD

Gift Aid

Don’t forget to let us know if you are a UK tax payer. UK charities are entitled to 25% tax reclaim from the HMRC on every £1 donated by UK taxpayers. If you are a UK taxpayer we can reclaim from HMRC basic-rate tax on any gift you make.

This increases the value of your gift. For example, if you give £10 in this tax year using Gift Aid, it is worth £12.50 to us. We can send you a gift aid form that will apply to your donations

Leave a Legacy

No matter how big or small, each legacy is invaluable to us in caring for the deaf community in Cumbria and, giving them the best support throughout life.

Not only does a legacy help us to continue our work within the community, it also enables us to invest in developing our services, training BSL interpreters and advocacy services to support our deaf community well into the future. A legacy can help us to employ project workers to deliver specialist support for young people, older people and those in need of additional learning support, mental health access or life skills e.g. financial management, health & well-being, home safety etc. Your legacy can help long into the future.

If you decide to leave a legacy to Cumbria Deaf Association, you will need to provide the following information to your solicitor or will-writer:

  • Charity Name: Cumbria Deaf Association
  • Address: 5 Castle Street, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 7AD
  • Registered Charity No: 1088406

Please also let us know about your intended gift to Cumbria Deaf Association, so that we can thank you for your kindness and consideration.

Fundraising

You can also get involved by holding your own fundraising event. This is a great way to bring friends, family and the community together and raise money for a good cause.
