Wage: £32,000-35,000 according to experience

Job Description

Cumbia Deaf Association is recruiting for a new General Manager to take over from the current Acting General Manager. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the post will be responsible for all aspects of running the charity, based in our Kendal office. Responsibilities include day-to-day management of existing service contracts, staff – including volunteers – and financial aspects.

In addition to day-to-day tasks, the role will include fostering existing and forging new relationships with associated organisations e.g. health, education, and other charitable institutions to widen the scope of the work.

Successful applicants must have proven management skills, ideally in a charity, health or care setting. Experience of working with the d/Deaf or hard of hearing is preferred but not essential.

Some travel to Carlisle and/or Barrow may be required to attend meetings, but travel costs will be reimbursed.
