Parking Changes for Blue Badge Holders in Kendal

Cumbria County Council South Lakeland Local Committee has approved an Experimental Order to reduce vehicle movements within the Central Area of Kendal.

Some of these changes affect parking for Blue Badge holders.

From 3rd September 2018 the 4 disabled bays on Market Place and the 3 disabled bays on Finkle Street have been removed. A total of 9 disabled parking spaces have been introduced for Blue Badge holders only in the existing bay outside Farrer’s on Stricklandgate and on the bay near Barclays Bank on Highgate.

These are within the core hours of 11am to 4pm and are for a maximum of 3 hours with no return within 1 hour.
