Maureen Bentley deceased

Cumbria Deaf Association lost a great friend recently with the death of Maureen Bentley at the age of 97. Back in the 1970s Maureen was the Chairperson for CDA and subsequently she also served on CDA’s Executive Committee. Latterly Maureen continued to support the Association as Vice-President. We were privileged to provide a Sign Language Interpreter at Maureen’s funeral service last week where CDA Trustees, staff and members of the Deaf community joined with her family and other friends to remember Maureen and celebrate her life.
