Rev. Peter Smith deceased

Cumbria Deaf Association lost a great friend recently with the death of Peter Smith at the age of 89. For many years up until the 1990s Peter was the chaplain for the deaf community throughout Cumbria. He also served on CDA’s Executive Committee and played a prominent role within the staff team. Friends and ex-colleagues attended a service of thanksgiving at Peter’s church, St. George’s in Kendal. A retiring collection was held with donations going to the church and to CDA. We were delighted to receive donations of £105.
